This session will discuss possible screeners, interventions, and local needs to meet this mandate.<\/p>\n Dr. AmyK Conley is a lecturer and supervisor at Cal Poly Humboldt in literacy in the education department. She served as a high school English teacher for 21 years, where she worked to promote educational programs that foster excellence in service-learning, literacy, and equity. Dialogic Reading is best used in small groups, so this is the perfect session for paraprofessionals and teachers who utilize small groupings in their daily schedules.<\/p> Gloria Topolewski has supported young children's learning and development and promoted family engagement for nearly two decades in Humboldt County. In her current role as the California Preschool Instructional Network (CPIN) Region 1 lead, she shares research-based, developmentally-informed practices for supporting preschool-TK-aged children's learning by providing hands-on, minds-on professional development sessions to UPK teachers and providers in the North Coast region.
