Shadow Puppetry and the Power of a Change-Maker (For Teachers Grades 2-8)
Daniel Barash, Focus 5
Redwood
“Change-makers are everywhere, and their inspiring stories are waiting to be told! Shadow puppetry, with its bold shapes and dramatic movement, is the perfect canvas to illuminate the inspiring lives of those who are making a difference. In this workshop, participants first learn about shadow puppetry as an art form, and practice performance and puppet-making techniques. They then create and perform shadow puppetry presentations that explore youth change-makers from around the world. Teachers will leave this training able to guide a new generation of change-makers and shadow puppeteers!”
